Finlandia Village is an award winning residential aged care facility, nestled in the South East Queensland suburb of Thornlands near the foreshores of Moreton Bay. The site is located approximately 30km south-east of the Brisbane GPO and is between the two business centres of Cleveland and Victoria Point.

Finlandia Village is the only aged care facility run by the Australian Finnish Rest Home Association Inc. The facility caters for 44 permanent places and one respite (short term) place. The facility is an ageing-in-place home which is known for its “Restorative Care” philosophy and approach to aged care.

The facility boasts a superbly equipped seniors GYM which is run by two experienced physio aides with the assistance of a consulting physiotherapist. The gym is used by residents but is also available for use by other seniors from facilities in the Redlands area.

All meals for residents are prepared on-site in a custom built commercial grade kitchen. The kitchen also provides delicacies for the Poro Café which is open 9am-3pm from Monday to Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturdays.
